Camping is a broad outdoor activity - but essentially consists of sleeping and living outdoors. While many people will camp with tents, others prefer to simply bivouac without shelter.

Camping can be done in almost any location (pending certain permissions being allowed) - from your own backyard, to a facilitied campsite, and even out in wild country away from civilisation.

There are many considerations when camping - including location, food and equipment storage, cooking, care of equipment, personal hygiene, water supply, and waste disposal.
