One-day hike around Prague Great post! You can camp (or rather bivouac) even in national parks and national preserves, provided that you only stay on one place for one night without a tent and open fire (gas stove is fine). Common sense applies. Here’s the source (Czech only, sorry). |

Winter food : Should I change my habits for winter? I’ve learned to push the water in the tube back to the bladder after drinking. During the summer it helps to keep the water from getting warm in the tube, hopefully it will also work in the winter to keep it from freezing. |

What characteristics should I look for in a good torch/flashlight? On related front, for Petzl Nao adapts the light power according to where you look. I don’t think it’s designed against blinding other people, but it’s worth mentioning. Also, it’s easier for a headlamp to double as a flashlight than the other way around. But if you insist on getting a flashlight (I understand that), Fenix also makes flashlights that look very nice. |
