Personally I find StackOverflow to be good for personal development. We should all spend some time trying to debug code without a compiler now and then.

How small is “too small” for tent guylines? @BenCrowell -- Every single "how-to" question regarding tents ends up with at least one tarp advocate saying "use a tarp instead". "Use a tarp" is not a valid answer to my question about guylines. I thought the edit would make the answer better. Please feel free to roll it back. |

Logs & Rocks - Step on or over? @DonBranson -- Depends on the log size. The larger ones the snake is equally likely to just tuck in and hide. Can't see under the edge of a 2" diameter log by peering over. |

How small is “too small” for tent guylines? That should work yeah. Not sure how it will hold up in high wind, but I'm willing to find out! I'll just make a multi-layer tyvek sleeve. I have spare tyvek and it will definitely resist the cordage. |

How to warm up your cold toes and fingers? There are a couple of flaws here. In general putting on more clothing does reduce the tendency of the body to cut flow to the extremities, yes. However the idea that a disproportionate amount of heat is lost through the head is urban myth. Leg warmers for instance would achieve a much great affect than a hat, for helping the toes. |

What is this knee pain when going downhill? Makes perfect sense as the cold would stiffen up the tendon. |

How should we split up a 3 person tent? @LBell -- We're all pretty narrow people. My wife and I will both fit in a 1 man tent... (cozy, but we fit) |

How should we split up a 3 person tent? Thanks, this is a pretty relevant point since the tent is only 3lbs 3oz. I'd always just divided out of habit, but there is something to say for doing it this way and having it all together. |

How should we split up a 3 person tent? Yeah, I think we can use small things to balance it out. To further complicate, each person has a different "target pack weight" but I though it would be good to see what other people's ideas are. |
