Personally I find StackOverflow to be good for personal development. We should all spend some time trying to debug code without a compiler now and then.

Personally I recommend both Aspirin and Tylenol. Both have their downsides. Tylenol is going to generally be better to give someone who is already bleeding than Aspirin, while Aspirin is better for a sprain.

@whatsisname -- Yes, how dare I hike and introduce people to hiking without a large group of friends who are more than happy to loan out gear.

Assuming they are similar to rosemary, yeah... very very few calories: calorielab.com/search/?search_input=rosemary

Can you clarify what you would be willing to pay? $75 is too much, but what would be fair? Helps with searching.

@studiohack -- I'm not crazy about them because I've gotten a couple of USGS maps with trails that were 10 years out of date where the trail literally didn't exist anymore. They just aren't kept current enough for me.

comment Washing clothes on long hikes
What I mean by suspect, is that all other advice related to clothing recommends against having damp clothes on your body while sleeping because moisture conducts heat away from your body faster. As an example, under the question concerning sleeping with clothes on, damp clothes is one of the reasons they listed to not wear clothes.
