Can you provide a sentence that includes the word so we can have a bit of context?

comment How can I keep my iPhone going on a multiday hike?
good point. I have one of these amazon.com/PowerGen-External-UltraSlim-Motorola-Blackberry/dp/… (also by PowerGen) and it claims to hold 3 full phone charges. It's smaller and lighter than my phone and works like a charm (plus it's a flashlight.)

comment How do I use these “guy line runners” to adjust the tension on my tent's lines?
@hippietrail actually I think I'm saying what Rory's saying, I'm just translating into the co-ordinates of your device. He says "open the loop" and that's the key

In the right hand picture (yours, with the orange rope) if you pull on the U-turn of rope that's pointing at you, you will gain a loop of rope to put the peg through. You can see a channel for the rope in the black plastic. Then slide the thingy up the rope to tighten it (by making the loop bigger.)

comment What should I do if I break a shoelace in the wilderness?
This is why I always have a pair of hockey laces in the repair kit. Useful for stringing up laundy in the tent, and assorted tying tasks, and can be cut down for shoelaces should the need arise. $3, toss them in, and relax.

comment Cooking by pouring hot water into plastic bags?
Indeed, we get water from the lake, warm it in a pot, and then after using it toss it in the bushes a decent way back from the water. So we wash in lake water, but not in the lake.
