comment Creek discovery. Two structures at opposing ends of the bank. What are they?
Looks like some kids playing. One interesting note is their use of mud to make a simple mortar. If you mix straw or grass in with mud you can make a very effective mortar to seal up survival shelters.

Sheet bends only bind if the lines are different diameter.

comment When to kill and bleed a fish
In the temperate Pacific Northwest it's fairly common to gut the fish and put them in a creel. You want to put some grass or burlap between the fish so that air can move around them, then you can wet down the creel so the evaporation naturally cools the fish.

comment True fish attractants?
There are a fair amount of regulations around this kind of chumming, too, so check you local regs.In the Puget Sound we regularly pull a bunch of mussels off the dock pilings to attract crab at the bottom then dive down to grab our crab dinner.

comment What is a buff?
It can also be rearranged to make a skull cap (twist, then invert one half) or a simple balaclava (pull over head until top is just below eye level, then pull back overtop of your head, only your eyes are exposed).
