ski damaged from sticks, leaves, soil, etc? Thanks for the advice! I should have mentioned that I have waxless skis, but you've covered all the bases already ;) |

How to warm up your cold toes and fingers? How do you figure "wasting a lot"? You have to breathe, so you're actually making use of what would otherwise be "wasted" (breathed-out) warmth. |

Do cross-country skis need to be broken-in? Thanks for the answer. Could older skis also have more grip because the curvature in the middle section is reduced? |

What to do about slippery plastic soles of cross country ski boots Thanks for the suggestions! 1. and 3. sound good, but 2. might be a bit too much. |

Do folding cross country skis exist? Exactly the same comment I made to the original answer. How annoying that the migration wasn't complete |

Do folding cross country skis exist? @OlinLathrop: If you're going to put it that way, why most and not all? |

Are folding poles suitable for cross-country skiing? Funny you should mention it, I asked this question too: outdoors.stackexchange.com/q/3678/2064 Unfortunately the migration to this site deleted the previous answers (but they weren't a perfect solution anyway). |

Are folding poles suitable for cross-country skiing? That's a good point about double polling. As for the length, I have seen collapsible poles (also from BD) that extend up to 155cm, thought that's still too short for the tallest skiers. And I know little of the reliability, especially when extended to full length. |

Do folding cross country skis exist? Cool, do you know which edition of popular mechanics it was in (month, year)? |
