Prevent mosquito bites: insect repellent patch or just eat vitamin B1? May be worth mentioning that besides long sleeves & pants there are also certain fabrics which are tested to prevent moquito's penetrating it. In my experience these are usually not the lightest though. Some types of mosquitoes will sting you right through your cloths if thin enough. |

Where in Europe is wild camping permitted? Not an answer to your question, but .. I've put up a tent next to the car besides country roads in a majority of the European countries, Turkey and Morocco without much problems at all. Out of 200+ nights doing so, we've been sent away 3 times. Once by the police, twice by hunters. Find a spot where few people pass by, wait for darkness to put up your tent. |

Where in Europe is wild camping permitted? You can also get mugged/raped/killed walking to your hotel. I've wild camped with a tent throughout Italy, often even not that far from roads or towns, without any remark. I'd consider the risks limited and the same as the rest of Europe. |
