comment How to get rid of illegal artificial paints on historical monuments?
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because the maintenance of historical monuments falls out of the scope of The Great Outdoors stack exchange and should be left to those responsible for maintaining said monuments.

comment Best way to illuminate a tent?
njzk2: not really, the glass is pretty small and robust, when collapsed it sits in the metal base, and I use a snug neoprene case designed for the lamp.

comment Is there any way to dispose of liquid fuel?
Here's an article from Climbing.com about using white fuel when you run out of gas in your car. climbing.com/news/running-out-of-gas

comment What's the safest way to hike up a steep slope in deep snow?
That's a slab release, you've got a layer of snow sitting on top of a weaker layer that gets released in a cohesive manner. The trench doesn't cause it's release, the skier does, but you can see it spans the width of the slope and goes above the trench.

comment Should a hiker be concerned about wolves in the back-country?
Yeah, I linked to two specific guidelines, one from a provincial park and another from a predator conservation agency, I don't see how either of those are anecdotal.

comment What clothing would be suitable for hiking and camping in 0°C?
I agree with this post, what you have is fine but you'll want something for when you aren't moving, like a light/mid down jacket, perhaps with a hood. I use mine from -12 to +12c and it packs down to nothing. It's more satisfying than a chocolate bar when you pull out the down!
