I've been using ESRI GIS software for 15 years and now working with open-source tools (QGIS, PostGIS, ,GDAL/OGR, web-based GIS) so I can "choose the right tool for the job". I primarily use Python for developing new tools and database maniupulation.

I have a strong interest is applying GIS to business. Particularly looking at ways retail and real-estate can enhance store site selection, trade area, customer research, and marketing through spatial and demographic analysis.
