While backpacking, should one bring hand sanitizer, soap, or both? @zoul I have been using a biodegradable for more than one year and it has proven to be very useful. It leaves no trace at all and does not attract insects. I cannot say the same for unscented soap which proved to be irresistible to insects.
Running shoes for asphalt + winter conditions? @BenCrowell well I am not a fan of Yaktrax. I am an avid user of microspikes for winter hike outside the city but I do not think they are appropriate for running in winter in a city.
