comment Dome tents vs popup tents, are there any inherent pros or cons besides price and ease?
Yep we've also had the elastic string inside our dome tent poles break once in a big storm but it was pretty easy to fix. I don't fancy having to do it with my popup though (-:

Actually the Vango Dart popups, unlike the Quechua popups, do have guy ropes, but they don't have the lower "hoop", only the upper one. Here's a picture of a model similar to mine that I can't include in my question due to copyright reasons.

revised How do I use these “guy line runners” to adjust the tension on my tent's lines?
add the word "tensioner" to the question title in case it doesn't make sense as is

comment Is it normal for a double skin popup tent to leak in slight rain?
Oh I'm not blocking the ventilation but I did ramble a bit so I guess my question is a bit confusing after all. But thanks for the tip about sealing the seams - I wasn't aware they might not be sealed well enough from the factory.

comment Do I need to worry about feral dogs or even wolves if I camp in random areas while hitchhiking in Georgia (the country)?
@RoryAlsop: This time I didn't have any problems but I had pretty good luck hitchhiking and didn't get caught in any uninhabited spots... well I did later on in Bulgaria and though I saw some large lone dogs that time during daylight none showed up where I was camped that night.
