No need for a header and all caps, we already know what you're talking about. Otherwise, great answer!

comment What are the advantages of short climbers?
For beginning climbers with little knowledge of technique, it is much easier for taller climbers to "hang out" from the wall, rather than staying close and conserving energy.

I stand with @RoryAlsop - while personally I enjoy the quotes listed here - this type of question tends to lead to others asked in a similar fashion with the OPs stating "There is precedence." Hence we have to be strict from the get go to keep quality standards high. Rory's point about the community closing vs. the diamonds is quite valid.

Always been fond of Shackleton's story - His diary of the experience is quite the read (Titled "South" for those interested). He said "By endurance we conquer."

comment Trail gun for protection against bears
@JoErNanO it always depends on what you're doing. In one National Forest near home, there are so many grizzlies, that two men will fish together - trading off fly fishing, and the other standing guard with a rifle. Just depends on how you want to approach it.

Western bears are an entirely different ball game than the East.

There's an exception (or several) to every rule, @Mapperz.

comment Trail gun for protection against bears
I've always felt there are too many factors to bear spray as well - such as wind or etc. That said, guns are unpredictable as well - those in serious bear country would do well to carry a rifle. Handguns are all over the map, and like many said, the recoil is much harder to manage.
