What precautions should I take to protect myself and my camp from bears? The "Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills" book describes the bear triangle just as it is above. Also it is mentioned, that a group of 4 or more people is not attacked by a bear, so this should be the minimum group size anywhere. |

How do I treat hot spots and blisters when I have no moleskin? You can put a piece of clean leaf under the duct tape where it touches the hot spot to help removing it without your skin. |
