comment Is it possible to sunburn through clothing?
I am a particularly pale redhead and have (very rarely) burned through white-cotton t-shirts. It happens. But I am very pale, even for a redhead, and seem to lack the ability to tan.

I agree! Just a note: anxiety and fear will make you grip harder. This is something to watch out for, particularly if you're outdoors.

I'm going to hand this one to you. It is certainly the best answer. I wish we had something a bit more definitive for an answer, so I looked around and posted some pseudo-scientific results I found below. Thanks for the interest!

comment What is the ultimate car camping bed solution — for two people?
The last time I tried this, I just laid the driver's seat back and slept like that. Add a makeshift pillow and a blanket and I bet you'd be more comfortable than I am usually tent-camping.

I would suggest that whether climbing, mountaineering, or backpacking, the goal is to have the weight from your pack resting on your hips and not your shoulders. That really makes all the difference.

I have climbed up the Northwest face and hiked the John Muir trail up Mount Whitney, and this is just my experience. @RoryAlsop is totally right, there are too many confounded details. The only important factors are fitness and experience. Good luck.
