I'm a physicist working on air pollution and global warming.
Of course, I spend most of my time programming.

Lacing materials for huaraches Can you post photos of your huaraches and their current laces? That would be awesome. |

What are different knots named in English? Kudo's. I wanted to add that all the important knots for climbing are listed here. |

What hand and finger exercises help with climbing? Use a hangboard/fingerboard. Do a 20-minute exercise twice a week. Be consistent. Don't climb the day after a real 20-minute handboard routine (to exhaustion). |

What is the fastest style of sled? My concern in accepting your answer is two-fold: (1) Wouldn't all sleds be faster if you wax them down? and (2) I thought these sleds were only fast on really hard-packed snow, but were kind of useless on deep, fluffy snow? |

Methods for taping hands, wrists, and fingers for climbing? @Mr.Wizard I have always wondered: Is it possible to make the above crack glove without pulling out a ton of hair? I'm a dude, and the hair on my wrists and hands is thick. I've never made a crack glove because I figured it would tare out a TON of hair to take on off. Yes/no? |

What good factual books have you read on an outdoors topic? @DonBranson I almost forgot that. I added it to my post. That is important information. |

What good factual books have you read on an outdoors topic? @DonBranson Exactly. And good for you. Please notice what I said about 2000 pages. And the book is dense, too. I am also taking some CPR and wilderness first-aid classes at my local REI this month. If you live by a University, they frequently have the same classes. Stay safe. |
