What does “expedition-weight” mean with regard to clothing? Thanks for your answer. This seems to confirm, though, that there isn't really a standard definition, and it might be the case that the only way I know it's "expedition-weight" is if the brand claims it as such. (If both long underwear and coats can be "expedition-weight", there isn't really a clear way to tell if a particular article of clothing qualifies for that description.) |

How do I prevent rocks or sand from getting in my boots? @Amine I see lots of people wearing them in the summer. I'd imagine they make your legs a little more warm, but they help keep rocks out of your shoes and help prevent your lefts from getting scratched up if you're walking through brambles or something. If you get some that are made out of breathable nylon, they should be pretty comfortable. |
