Are drop bears dangerous ? on the other hand - almost everything that moves in Australia is dangerous: spiders, snakes, magpies (especially if you're cycling for some reason), emus, salties, etc... |

Where in Europe is wild camping permitted? @berry120 - there are lots of open access areas in the UK - I've wild-camped in the Peaks and the Lakes. These areas are clearly marked on OS maps. |

Hiking boots vs trail shoes I used to have the same problem with one pair of boots (problem was, they were military issue and I couldn't replace them) - I started putting zinc oxide tape on the 'hotspots': places that I knew where blisters would form. It's all about reducing the rubbing and friction. Alternatively, it could be time to get new boots - they don't all fit everyone the same, unfortunately. |

Hiking boots vs trail shoes Are you sure it's the boots? Blisters can be caused by a lot of things - the kinds of socks you wear, how well the boots fit, even if you have tramped 1,000 kilometres and long past broken in your boots. |
