I travel in night and I can't see properly when other cars flashing lights on me.

I learned that polarized sunglasses can reduce glare, but most glasses that I found are not made of actual glass but Polycarbonate plastic.

I have checked a range of low to high-end brands Vincent Chase, John Jacobs, Hugo Boss, Ray-ban, all use Polycarbonate plastic.

Question is: I will be wearing these Sunglasses both day 'n'night. Will this plastic material good for my eyes? Why even top brands and not using actual glass but plastic?
