Questions about the season Autumn (also know as Fall). Autumn's start is defined by the Autumn Equinox, which changes depending on which hemisphere you are in.

Typically Autumn starts around the 22nd September in the Northern Hemisphere and the 20th of March in the Southern Hemisphere based on the astronomical seasons. Autumn will then end on the Winter Solstice, which is 22nd of December in the Northern Hemisphere or June 21st in the Southern Hemisphere.

Autumn's start and end can also be defined by meteorological definitions which is to do with the average temperature.

Autumn is the time of year when trees begin to lose their leaves and many seasonal fruits come into season - such as berries, apples etc.
