In my opinion, SE is a community that has been progressively being destroyed by the disease of political hypercorrectness; two years ago it has passed the point of no return, beyond which it is practically impossible to revert the accumulated harmful changes. The well has been poisoned; I am really sad and disappointed about it. No matter how politely you say that, for example, you disapprove the practice of putting children on cross hormones and puberty blockers, thus making them permanently sterile -- you will still be labeled "transphobic" and cancelled by LGβTQZ bullies.
Mandating people in this network to use imaginary pronouns is authoritarian and extremely narcissistic. It is also dangerous because trans identities are fantasy -- transgender is not a healthy identity, their assertions are not supported by science, and we should not normalize a pathological condition. Transgender spectrum people suffer from mental illness -- and instead of treating it as such, we have chosen to indulge their delusions. We need to be concerned with medical ethics and responsibility, but we instead turned attempts to help those people into "hate" violations. But what is more hateful: trying to help the mentally ill adapt, or creating more mental illness? Of course, the idea that gender dysphoria was not a mental illness, comes from the mentally ill themselves.
