Feb 2, 2015 at 16:25 comment added DanielKM In situations like this, disabling the patrol leader (or whoever tends to take charge) is often the best way to encourage the group to learn and grow. In many cases, this isn't the strongest boy, but rather the oldest. Put him on the disabled list, tell him he can't speak or help, and suddenly the other Scouts have to step up and learn to lead and learn to use their skills.
