Can you dry clothes by freezing them?
@Philip, at home of course not. I was thinking more of being outdoors with more limited clothing options. I would for instance not carry around several warm coats when backpacking, so having one coat completely soaked could turn out to be a big problem, as is implied by the survival tag attached to the question. I edited to make this clearer.

@Manziel, high relative humidity at +5 °C is much worse for drying than -5 °C and low relative humidity. I also was quite surprised at the time when I had problems to dry my laundry outside at around 30 °C, but in tropical/super high humidity conditions. Eventually, I decided to wear the clothes in the half-dry state I could achieve.

Do long/high beams on a car work to warn moose off the road?
@Haem, my answer would be identical to the highest voted answer in the post on Travel.SE linked in WedaPashi's answer, so I prefer to save the hassle of writing it down again.

I do remember a question from the theoretical exam for my drivers license that asked what to do when there is deer on the road. The correct answer was to switch the high beams off. But I do not live in moose country.
